At the time I recieved this message it was working fine. This morning, it
began to fail in the old way. I went and looked at 16063, and while it has
some similarities, the description doesn't seem to fit. I was able to get
things working correctly by reinstalling the gpm package. I will try the
reset described in the 16063 report and see if that fixes it the next time
it happens. The only thing I run that mucks with the screen settings (and
has given other kinds of trouble in the past) is zgv. Other than that, I
work at the prompt and use mc.
