Note, that I just raised this discussion on debian-policy. (This does not
belong to debian-devel, IMO.) 

In addition, I started a discussion about the use of the `du' control
files.

I'll report to debian-devel if we have a result. Until then, just ignore
lintian's warnings about these topics.
