gcc 2.8.0 problems
After installing gcc/cpp 2.8.0 I cannot use the X developments tools
anymore. That is xmkmf generates a Makefile that isn't able to compile
anything.
I just tried with the Debian source of axe which works fine with 2.7.2.3.
With 2.8.0 the compiler call looks like:
gcc -c -O -I../Widgets -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/include -Dlinux
LinuxMachineDefines -D_POSIX_C_SOURCE=199309L -D_POSIX_SOURCE -D_BSD_SOURCE
-D_SVID_SOURCE -D_REENTRANT -O2 -g -Wall -DDEBIAN -DFUNCPROTO=15
-DNARROWPROTO -D_NO_PROTO -DDUMMY axinfo.c
Note the LinuxMachineDefines!
Also makedepend doesn't seem to work anymore. It doesn't find include files
under /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/2.8.0/include.
