But...open microprocessor architectures? It seems to me
that with Slot 1 and Slot 2 bus interfaces for the
Pentium II, Intel is taking the same route that IBM
did with Microchannel. Only this time Intel controls
the chip! I have read that Intel does not intend even
to license the bus. I wouldn't call that open.
