	This happens not to be the case. Please look at what I wrote:
 perl is to ***supplement*** perl-base, which is ***required*** and
 ***essential***. This has *never* been implemented.

	 There is already too much confusion about this issue; please
  do not spread any more. 

	The previous incorrect implementation had the package perl
 *replacing* perl-base, which caused all kinds of grief.
