problems with new xlib (3.3-6)
i've installed the new libc6 based x11 libraries from incoming (but
the same thing happened with version 3.3-5) and now i can't link
any programs using my old redhat motif 2.0 library. it seems that the
new version of the x libraries is compiled with -DX_LOCALE which
replaces _Xsetlocale with _XlcMapOSLocaleName. the motif library
expects _Xsetlocale so no joy. i got around this by adding "-static
-Wl,-defsym,_Xsetlocale=_XlcMapOSLocaleName" to the link flags, but
this is not very elegant. anybody has any better ideas?
