I fully support this proposal. Automake is a really nice and practical
tool, and:

1/ It will simplify the maintainer's work.

2/ ALL the packages are quaranted to use the same policy/rules.
(which will eliminate all bug reports related to bad permissions/owner for
documentation files, etc...)
