I dont see how sticking them in /opt constitutes "not including" them.
However, in the case of X11, putting it in /opt would probably make things
too wierd compared to current practice. And emacs is fine where it is I
guess. (Boyee, Im glad I didnt mention I thought gcc should go in /opt
too...)
