Electric Fence

Program is linked with `-lefence'.  As soon as I run it, I get this error:

  Electric Fence 2.0.5 Copyright (C) 1987-1995 Bruce Perens.

ElectricFence Exiting: mprotect() failed: Invalid argument

How can I find out what is going wrong, please?
