No this is the -rpath problem. The affected packages so far are:
fvwm2
jdk1.1-runtime
fvwm-common
emacs
xdaliclock
AFAIK, they all have bug reports.
I sent a simple patching perl program to make them work again (note that I mentioned the -r ld option, it should have read -rpath).
I guess you fail to see the intrinsic beauty of `od -x core' scrolling for ever in your xterm or console :-)
No these are *not* cosmetic...
