New maintainer trying to get connected

Can anyone tell me how long it is now taking to process a request from a
new maintainer to get connected (account on master, subscription to 
debian-private)?  I sent a request 16 days ago, and I cannot imagine
what can take so long about the process.  Or is it just that everyone
is on holiday?
