shadow and NIS?

Hi folks!

Yesterday, I tried to activate "shadow passwords" on my NIS server. (Both,
clients and server are running Debian 1.3.) However, I wasn't able to
log into the client, no matter if I activated shadow passwords on the
client or not.

I added the shadow entry to /var/yp/Makefile and added "nis" to the files
in /etc/nsswitch.conf .


Any help is appreciated.
