IMHO, bugs should not be closed because they are "obsolete", but because
they are fixed. In this case, by looking at the e2fsprogs changelog:
e2fsprogs (1.10-2) frozen unstable; urgency=low
* Add 'ldconfig' to postinst (should fix #9020).
* Define HAVE_NETINET_IN_H on alpha/glibc.

we can see that 1.06-3 did not have ldconfig in postinst yet, and this was
almost sure the reason for the bug.
In short: Yes, please, close the bug.
