Would anybody like to write an FAQ on "Reasons not to become a Debian
deveolper?"
R1: You need root access to a machine in order to create a *.deb
file.
R2: You need to do a significant amount of work as root, which you
may not like to do.
Now, proposed:
R3: Compiling Debian packages is impossible on a machine that
anybody is doing serious work on, because you need to break
compilation for everybody else while you do it.
I detect more than a trace of single-user mindset here.
