Agreed. IIRC there were some really nice ones which came with Fvwm95.

This might be a bit difficult to implement. Maybe we should have seperate
directories - one for 16x16 and one for 32x32.

I'm biased as I am using 16bit colour, but I think this might be a bit
harsh on some pixmaps. In a few years time, most people will probably be
using TrueColor displays anyway. How about splitting the pixmaps into two
directories - full colour and reduced colour. That way, your .fvwm2rc file
can have: 

   PixmapPath /usr/include/X11/pixmaps/16x16/16cols:~/lib/pixmaps

later on, you upgrade your video card and all you have to do is change this
one line to:

   PixmapPath /usr/include/X11/pixmaps/16x16/256cols:~/lib/pixmaps

Meanwhile everyone else can get whichever ones they want.
