Bug#5224: inc -silent sometimes segfaults

Certain mailbox contents cause `inc -silent' to segfault after inc'ing the
mail, but before zero'ing the mailbox or removing the lock file.
Needless to say, leaving a mailbox lock file around is bad, especially since
there is no way for normal users to remove it.
The same `inc' command without `-silent' works fine.
I don't have a core file since `inc' runs setgid. I do however have a copy of
the mailbox which causes `inc -silent' to fail.
