deb-check gives me lots of bugs for my packages. I would like to have a
look at that script and put parts of it into debstd.

debstd packaging style is one doc directory /usr/doc/base-packagename per
multi-binary package. multi-binary packages are for debstd essentially
one big package that is split up according to the maintainers wishes into
separate .deb packages.

What will you be using symlinks for?
