I was thinking about this, and asking the developer to maybe think about
that, but from what I can tell by all my reading on linuxconf, linuxconf
needs different runlevels. What I mean linuxconf has a utlity called
askrunlevel. You can probably figure out what this utility does, and from
reading the dropin descriptions, I think you can tell linuconf to only run
some modules or dropins at certain runlevels.

I am really wondering if anyone has a problem with the idea of using the
existing rc.d scripts with linuxconf and providing the user the choice if
they want reguler SysV style rc.d scripts or the linuxconf style? From
what I can tell all that would have to be added is a simple dropin file
that would referance the init.d script we all ready use. This shouldn't be
that difficult for maintainers to add, would it? With this way, we can
have the best of everything. The people that want a singular place for
maintance get their wish. The people who want to stick with the init.d
scripts get their wish.

Just my wondering,
