xlib6 already provides elf-x11r6lib. The issue is with packages that
depend on xlib, or other bad dependencies, such as:
motifnls - depends on XbaseR6
hfsutils - depends on xbaseR6 (suggests)
isdnutils - depends on xlib (suggests)
xkeycaps - depends on xbaseR6 (suggests)
pari - depends on xlibraries
tkdesk - depends on xlib
xblast - depends on xlib
xpaste - depends on xlibraries
non-free:
xanim - depends on xlib (the message to the list indicates this was
fixed?)
This could be fixed by placing the old dependencies in the new X
packages, although the proper thing to do would be to fix the above
mentioned packages. None of them require recompiles, just dependency
fixing.
The other issue is that the 2 Athena widget replacements stop
working. For xaw3d, an updated version exists, and just needs to be
compiled. Don't know about xaw3d.
