This would be very useful code to fold into dpkg, or provide as a
separate tool. It would be really nice to be able to take a list of
packages and hand it to a tool that produced a reordered list that
satisfied install dependencies, or, if that was impossible, produced a
list of the unstatisfied dependencies.
Not too hard, but useful for people rolling their own install tools:
dftp, the people working on multi-machine installs, people working on
novice install interfaces, whatever...
