Bug#5041: dpkg-source doesn't like lines dpkg-buildpackage generated
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Package: dpkg-dev
Version: 1.4.0.3
There's a file in the perl that has no newline at the end of the file
and dpkg-buildpackage complains. That's okay, the manual documents that
dpkg-buildpackage warns about such things.
Actual section of the diff is:
- --- perl-5.003.07.orig/t/a
+++ perl-5.003.07/t/a
@@ -0,0 +1 @@
+_
\ No newline at end of file
The big problem is that when putting the package back together with
dpkg-source, it complains with:
dpkg-source: error: diff contains unknown line No newline at end of file'
I wasn't going to change the source package but if I want dpkg-source to
build, I have no choice.
Darren
