What you want is that saying:
ls -L bar
results in showing
foo
? I doubt that such behaviour is wanted. It might be that the
documentation should be rewritten on this, but I doubt thatt the
above mentioned behaviour is wanted.
Did you try ls -Ll and ls -Ll bar, perhaps that will clearify.
