Bug#3231: /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib not present

I've just upgraded to debian 1.1 from 0.93R6. When I've just tried
updating things using dselect, I get the following warning:

  Setting up zlib1 ...
  ldconfig: warning: can't open /usr/i486-linuxaout/lib (No such file or
  directory), skipping.

I guess that this directory should have been set up when I upgraded (with
dselect 1.2.3).

PS I'm sending this to debian-bugs@pixar.com as this is what is specified

correct, or should I be sending mail to debian-bugs@lists.debian.org?
