Right, I certainly wasn't trying to be egotistical, I was just
concerned about the distances involved confusing the new user.

I also agree that simply adding the time zones (Eastern, Central,
Pacific, etc.) would probably be just as good for most in the US.  The
zones are quite commonly known.
