Re: problem with man?

Same here.

S> mandb -d -c to see mandb's debugging output.

I'll try that.

S> or just check whether your /etc/manpath.config has this line in it:
S> MANDB_MAP /usr/X11R6/man /var/catman/X11R6

% grep "/usr/X11R6/man" /etc/manpath.config
MANDATORY_MANPATH /usr/X11R6/man
MANPATH_MAP /usr/X11R6/bin /usr/X11R6/man
MANDB_MAP /usr/X11R6/man /var/catman/X11R6

S> Then see if the file index.db is in /var/catman and
S> /var/catman/X11R6.

% ls -l /var/catman/index.db
-rw-r--r-- 1 man root 335872 Apr 26 13:11 /var/catman/index.db
% ls -l /var/catman/X11R6/index.db
-rw-r--r-- 1 man root 315392 Apr 26 13:12 /var/catman/X11R6/index.db

Is it possible that the link from /usr/X11 to /usr/X11R6 is confusing
it? Seems unlikely. This problem's not that serious, just annoying,
man -k works, I just have to put up with the warnings at the end.

S> what it's doing.

OK.

Thanks
