Starting xfs

There are three methods that can be used to start the X Window System:
`startx', `xdm', and `xinit'. We recommend the use of `xdm', but you
may choose which you prefer.

xdm = 3 and restart_xdm = 1
starting /usr/bin/X11/xdm ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
 xbase-3.1.2-8.deb

xosview should install its app-defaults file in
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults rather than /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults.
