Re: perl wants csh

I reported this as Bug #2495. It causes latex2html -- a perl script used
by a lot of people who don't know much about perl (myself included) --
to break. This caused a great to-do on the latex2html list a couple of
weeks ago while we all searched around for the solution to the problem
that latex2html would mysteriously give empty pages on some systems.

Perhaps ash might do the necessary globbing?

In an effort to see how the perl configuration file (which I guess is
/usr/lib/perl5/i486-linux/5.002/Config.pm), I read the Config.3pm man page.
There I found a script which said I could use it to find out how perl
was actually configured on this system. I was curious because I wondered
if the shell used by perl could be configured dynamically. Anyway, this
just produced _another_ mystery: the perl script failed to work, with the
error message:
"config" is not exported by the Config module at
   /usr/lib/perl5/Exporter.pm line 95
"g_vars" is not exported by the Config module at
/usr/lib/perl5/Exporter.pm line 95

I'd like to hear from someone else (more knowledgeable in perl than I)
if they can tell me how to get this script to work.
