Re: xfig mail
Boy, I'm really ticked off about this mail.

First of all a mail like this belong into private mail and not on the
mailing list, but if Ian prefers to get this all public so be it. As I
already explained others who asked me privately, I was in a hurry and send
out the original mail too soon, i.e. without signing it. Unfortunately I
removed the files immediately after uploading them, so there wasn't a way to
re-calculate the md5sums. So I thought the only thing I could do was to tell
you all that I did upload some files by signed mail. This way it would be
difficult to upload incorrect binaries. However, it is possible. But then we
have a lot of uploads without pgp signed announcment anyway.
As for me being silly, I do know what pgp actually signs. And I think a
person who reports a filename (!) that lost a character during upload as a
bug (!) should think twice before telling others they are silly.
