A working Gnuchess (at last!)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
I've uploaded gnuchess-4.0.pl75-1.[tar.gz|diff.gz|deb] to master.debian.org.
It's ELF, so should go in the development tree.
Note: previous versions, including the one in the stable tree, are so
severely broken that they are barely worth having at all - as soon as the
program has to `think for itself' (rather than using its book openings) it
segfaults. I therefore suggest that the gnuchess version in the stable tree
should be removed; if it is thought worth the effort, I'll recompile this
version for a.out.
May I ask a favour? Unfortunately I'm unable to test the visual interfaces
(gnuchess[cx]) as they don't work with Braille :-). I'd really appreciate
it if someone could have a quick look at these and make sure they work.
