1.1 "cold install" testing commences

I will be testing the "install from scratch" of 1.1 this weekend.
Please, if you have updates to your packages please upload them as soon
as possible. Once I'm happy with it, a small number of alpha-test
"gold CDs" will be produced for developers and for the two people who
never got their 0.93 Gold CDs because of some international postal
problem. These CDs will contain 0.93 and 1.1-alpha-0.

Testing of upgrade-in-place is waiting for changes to "dpkg" and
pre-depends in various packages, I believe.
