Bug#2432: Bad directory name in sysklogd's postinst.
Package: sysklogd (or should that be syslogd?)
Version: 1.2-19
On install, I get:
# dpkg --install sysklogd-1.2-19.deb
(Reading database ... 12547 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace syslogd (using sysklogd-1.2-19.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement syslogd ...
Setting up syslogd ...
mkdir: cannot make directory `/var/logs/news': No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing syslogd (--install):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
syslogd
Note that the postinst script is trying to make a directory /var/logs/news,
and then tries to put files into /var/log/news. The `s' should go!!
(I don't have news on my system. Why does syslogd need a directory for it?)
