Re: Bug#2425: ispell thinks `formated' is correct
Well, it thinks wont is a good word also. This common misspelling of the
the contraction of will not yields the old english meaning 'having the
tendency' as in "He was wont to get drunk of a Saturday". Fro, the common
twist of the word for, will also normally be passed as correct.
The only spell checking that I have seen that comes at all close to
working is supplied by Grammatic. By using the grammatical structure of
the sentence as the context for spell checking it finds both of the above
examples and would probably succeed on your word also. All other spell
checkers fail as proof readers and as a result, often fail as spell
checkers, giving a false sense of security.
