Bug#1923: lpr not de-installing

Hi...  I recently decided to take the printer off and in doing the package
seemed to remove fine - but I had to purge the files left - this is the
result:

[root@orion:12:~] dpkg --purge lpr
 (Reading database ... 10657 files and directories currently installed.)
 Removing lpr ...
 Purging configuration files for lpr ...
 update-rc.d: error: /etc/init.d/lpd exists during rc.d purge.
 dpkg: error processing lpr (--purge):
  subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 1
 Errors were encountered while processing:
  lpr
[root@orion:12:~]
