I found a dh-python package but I am on 2009 jessie. Is there another way
to make a python2.5+ package ? Perhaps with other tools or source code ?

I would like to maintain it and have a debian 2016-04-08 server if it does
not work out.

I write very backwards compatible code which is good for archives.debian.org.
