I've cast an eye on https://ftp-master.debian.org/REJECT-FAQ.html

Since correct packaging is that important and I'm actually more a coder than 
packager I would be happy to get help on that.

Maybe somebody want to fork the two repos[1] on Github and and give me a pull 
request. As mentioned before, I can remove all the Debian stuff later.
