Yeah, pretty much; the embedded copy of libjpeg6b in ioquake3 has the
memory source glued onto the side in a fairly ugly way, and ioquake3 upstream
seem to be of the opinion that if they're changing their embedded libjpeg
at all, they ought to move forward to the latest version.

Obviously, carrying around a distro patch to re-add the memory source and
be backwards-compatible with libjpeg6b would be less intrusive than a distro
patch to support external libjpeg at all, so it's a win either way.
