Re: Do we need a home page and a logo?
This is the idea I'd personally like to transmit with the logo, two concepts:
debian + games
About the first one, the only way I can think of, even when it might be too
easy, is using the swirl [1], or maybe going back to the historic penguin logo
of Debian [2]. If anyone can come out with a better way to represent Debian in
the logo, please tell, I'd really love to have something more creative.
About the game concept, I'd like to have a symbol that represents the biggest
group of games at a time. I think it's important to have a modern image, just
to fight the common idea that free games are only remakes of retro games. I'd
also like to transmit that games is much more than just quake-like, and more
than violent ones. My favorite game right now, for the record, is stepmania.
I'd like to come up with a symbol as generic and representative of the game
concept as we could.
Do you have a better idea to go for it?
