Help with CD cover text for Space Fun

The CD cover text of "Space fun" may need a bit of polishing.

I send you some text from the backside cover of my DVD draft. Of yourse you won't get everything on the CD cover, which is smaller. You may have to choose between "About debian" or "About this release". The latter should be checked again, when the Squeeze release notes are out.

About Debian

Debian GNU/Linux is a free operating system, developed by more than a thousand volunteers from all over the world who collaborate via the Internet. Debian's dedication to Free Software, its non-profit nature, and its open development model make it unique among GNU/Linux distributions.

The Debian project's key strengths are its volunteer base, its dedication to the Debian Social Contract, and its commitment to provide the best operating system possible. Debian 6.0 is another important step in that direction.

About this release

Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 features a Linux 2.6.32 kernel as its default in the installer and on all Linux architectures. For Desktop environments, Debian 6 comes with KDE 4.4.5, Gnome 2.30.0 (with some pieces of GNOME 2.32), LXDE 0.5.0 and XFCE 4.6.2, all backed up with X.org 7.5. Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 includes stable and current versions of common server software such as Apache 2.2.16, PHP 5.3.2, MySQL 5.1.48, PostgreSQL 8.4.4 and Samba 3.4. It comes with modern interpreters and compilers for all common languages such as Python 2.6 and 3.1, Perl 5.10, GHC 6.12 and GCC 4.4.

Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 is accompanied by variants based on the FreeBSD kernel for amd64 and i386 machines, together with the GNU libc and userland as a "technology preview". This extends the features of Linux-based Debian versions by the unique features known from the BSD world. It is the first time a GNU/Linux distribution has been extended to also allow use of a non-Linux kernel.
