Re: Theme Proposal for Squeeze "Lisp Machine"
Thanks for your nice words and suggestions!
I have now completed my concept for the CD cover. See:
As you can see I use the alternative wallpaper nr. 5 for the backside
of the cover. Which is blue. So consistency between DVD cover and
wallpaper wouldn't be an issue if we decide to take a blue wallpaper.
I also think it is a nice combination.
As a next step I plan to experiment with blue wallpapers.
@Adnan: I will avoid the lens flare effect.
@Paul: Interesting idea. I am not sure though if I want to do this. If
it was the lisp machine that became a starting point for GNU, then it
doesn't seem logical to me to brand that machine with the Debian
logo. Hm. Thinking about it.

Yes, Debian will, as far as Gnome or other GTK things are concerned, be
Clearlooks, which is blue. KDE also has a rather blue theme.

You suggested nr. 2, 5 and 6. Is it coincidence that you avoided the ones
with the brown color? If I redo the wallpaper to look more like the CD label
artwork, brown would become the dominant color, I suppose.
Or does the Debian desktop have a typical color? Like the light blue in the
Ciel theme (which looks really nice too, by the way)?
Don't think Debian Desktop has typical color, but default theme for any
desktop (and Gnome at first) is blue-ish and I'm not sure brown will blend
well with Clearlooks,(and anyways, i prefer blue colors for desktop, but,
hey thats my opinion). but from the point of view for both CD artwork AND
Desktop consistency, I think alternative1 will be nice, quite original idea.
