I think that a pre M$ Office to OpenOffice.org migration should be of
help.

This is a big big problem. I think that some sort of customization is
necessary any way. Even on the dark side of information tecnology they
do custom disk images for large deploy (I did to deploy 250 NT servers).

* Stable
* Secure (no service by default)
* Easy to install
	- preseed for automatic installation
	- tasksel to select desktop
* Easy to upgrade (update-manager or cron-apt and apt-cache or local
mirror)
