Thanks for keeping the ball rolling on this.

I wonder if people of other distros, who both have participated in the
census and feel they have actually *benefited* from it, would like to
step in and help keeping it running. Still, from this short summary is
not clear to me which kind of tasks are actually in need of help. Can
you be more specific?

It is a bit stalled indeed. More generally, my feeling is that DEX is
doing well in terms of acceptance and (forthcoming) tooling but, at the
same time, is having hard time in finding *targets*. Meaning with
targets well-defined set of patches in need of merge. We've called for
DEX targets repeatedly, including during the DebConf11 events you've
mentioned, but with little success thus far.

If we want to be optimists, we could conclude that no sets of patches
from derivatives are in need of special treatment for being merged. But
I seriously doubt that.

Hence, we need to figure out why our calls for targets are not working
and what could we do about that. Any idea?

Pretty cool stuff, I think a link from
http://wiki.debian.org/IRC/debian-meeting to that page, as an example of
best practices in IRC meeting organizations within a team could be
beneficial.

How about starting with a proposed session "Debian and its Derivatives"
for http://wiki.debian.org/IRC/debian-meeting to bootstrap the
derivatives periodic meeting stint? (Sorry, I've no spare energies to
volunteer to chair that myelf, though.)

Cheers.
