With live streaming, IRC and gobby we can include remote folks.

Could you outline what you had in mind (in a separate thread maybe)?
Part of the idea about the derivatives census was to gather data about
derivatives for inclusion in to UDD (udd.debian.org) and pervasive
integration of that data into Debian's infrastructure.
