good idea. I am a DD for more than 10 years and I am currently active
in the Java packaging team and Debian's FTP team. Debian and Ubuntu
developers cooperate very well in the Java packaging team. Some of the
Ubuntu developers are DMs and upload their packages directly to Debian
(employing the sync back to Ubuntu mechanism). Most of our packages
are in sync.
