Shouldn't an admin just have cleared the mail queue in such a case? Losing
list mail is not that bad, it's not private email, and most people will be on
the list and get the message from the admin with explanation why the mail was
lost. (Assuming there was no simple way to clear just the looped email from
the queue, leaving the 'real' mails in).
