I'd like to mention a few things: - TC's opinion (not d-i people's) was queried by Paul. - d-i maintainers were neither asked anything, or put in the loop at any point. - Given the incredible amount of mails on that bug, I think it's quite reasonable not to expect us to jump into that train out of the blue, especially uninvited. (I've been pointed at this subthread, I could have entirely missed it otherwise.) If you have any question for -boot@, please send a mail there.
