That can be done if the rest of the ctte agrees. [I don't know if we
have the code to accept any valid gpg signature too, but that could
also be done.]

There is of course the possibility of spam sent through those bugs,
but since archiving is working again (and we're pretty good in general
about blocking the vast majority of spam to the bts) it probably
wouldn't cause more than a few pieces of spam a month, if that.
