Re: AWS EC2: 8.3 image for testing - fixed root resize, etc (was Re: AWS EC2: Jessie 8.2 image for testing)

Hi Tiago,

I really appreciate your initiative of testing all the AMIs, but looks
like you are wasting time doing it this way. I don't know if this
would be possible at all, but it's very much unlikely that the image
will diverge between regions.

It was a pain to do ^^, but having in mind it's will be "official"
I didn't let any chance for a small doubt for validating these instances.
(Yes I know already that was build identically)

I think also that was a time wasting, so, it will be great to have
some test validation to automate testing (I see a thread talking about
Continuous integration).
I'm wandering to begin with testing some major issue for preventing
regressions.

What James was asking is for more tests, different from the ones we
already did, so maybe we can find more issues besides those which we
know that are fixed (e.g. growth of root partition, SSHd Ed25519 key,
networking service delay, etc.).

I continued testing with several automated build for some standard
configurations (like a web server, database etc) and it looks ok for me.
If someone think about useful test, I could give some try.

Regards,
Zied.
