Re: pppoeconf does not work

好几天没上这个邮箱，没想到大伙帮我出了这么多主意:)
我那个问题没解决，不过我换了一种方法圆满解决了:)

Setup Network to Share Internet Boardband
1. buy a 4-ports router from http://www.taobao.com by 45RMB(including post fee).
2. connect the ADSL cable to the wan port of the router
3. connect the 2 PCs to 2 of the 4 ports of the router through cables.
4. from 1 PC, access the router from web browser by its IP, eg. http://192.168.8.1, it will show the network information, such as DNS servers' IP
5. select "WAN" from the menu, check the "pppoe" for the WAN connection type, and input the username and password of ADSL.
6. select "LAN" from the menu, disable DHCP server
7. for the 2 PCs, configure their network card
a) Desktop->Administration->Networking, Connection Tab
b) Select the connection, click Properties
c) check enable this connection
d) select static ip address for configuration
e) input ip address: 192.168.8.100, sub mask:255.255.255.0, gateway:192.168.8.1
in the DNS Tab, add IP of DNS servers
g) click OK

总之，就是不明白那个pppoeconf的程序到底出了什么问题，我也没功夫去研究了，最近时间比较紧:)

Are you sure your ISP can allow your two computers to
connect to internet at the same time by only one cabel
modem?

Then, make sure you are in dip group, and please use
`poff -a' before you use `pon dsl-provider'.

NOTE:
you should see "/usr/bin/poff: No pppd is running. None stopped.", or
please use `poff -a' repeatly.
