Bug#907446: cdrom: Cd-Rom does not start on Geode embeded x86 computer

Package: cdrom
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
We use two x86 Geode embeded x86 computers:
1. Kontron MOPSlcdLX - PC/104 with AMD Geode™ LX800
2. PC104 TF-PFM-540I-B10
Both didn't boot with Liteon external Usb Dvd-Rw drive.

   * What led up to the situation?
Afer I burn boot Debian image on Cd-Rw disk and when I try to boot from Usb Dvd-Rw.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
I try to install Debian on Geode based embeded x86 computer.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
Debian install system failed to boot.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
I want to install Debian without hacks on desired flash-card connected to Geode.
