Bug#907445: cdrom: Debian installer on CF card asks for Cd-Rom with packages on Geode

Package: cdrom
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
We have 2 computers based on Geode processor:
1. Kontron MOPSlcdLX - PC/104 with AMD Geode™ LX800
2. PC104 TF-PFM-540I-B10
   * What led up to the situation?
We failed to boot from Dvd-Rw Usb connected drive. Then we prepare boot CF card and try to install on the other CF card. Then (supprisingly) Debian installer asks for Cd-Rom in order to continue installation. It is unable to install unles you type /dev/sdb (in our case - we boot from second drive and try to install on the first drive).
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
I try to install Debian from prepared CF installation card.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
The installer asks for Cd-Rom in order to install packages and to continue installation process.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
I suppose installer to be aware device from what it was booted (and packages this device provide).
It should ask only in one case: if proprietary packages are needed.
